Hello, dear friend. Thanks for stopping by. It's almost hibernation time in Boston, which means that I am working more and more on creative projects indoors. New songs are in the works and tour dates are being setup for 2014. I am also slowly updating my website. Thank you for your interest and patience. Musicians are not always the fastest web designers.
I will be doing a few local shows before 2013 comes to an end. Friday November 29th I will be at Tavern at the End of the World in Charlestown and Wednesday December 4th I will be at the Plough & Stars in Cambridge. It is such a blessing to have so many great places to play and hear music in this fair city.
It was my great pleasure to spend the last 3 weeks performing in Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Many thanks to the Van Gogh Museum, the Groninger Museum, Jellyfant Records, Björn Kleinhenz and Thisell for bringing me out on this wonderful adventure.
For some footage of the trip, there are photos on tumblr and here is some video from the Van Gogh Museum, the Groninger Museum and Hasenscaukel in Hamburg:
My new album, "Institution Blues," will be out on October 1st. Just in time for a solo show/European Tour kick off at Club Passim. Tickets are available here.
More European dates will be announced soon. Some regional shows near Boston, too. More information about the album is coming, as well. In the meantime, you can preview some of the songs and pre-order the limited edition CD on Bandcamp.
Wishing you love, peace and happiness.
July was a lot of fun, with highlights including performances with the Animal Hospital Ensemble, Faces on Film and a solo set opening for Pokey LaFarge. New recording projects for local artists Russell Feathers and Emerald Comets were completed in my studio, as well.
One of my songs, "Summer's Come," will be featured in an exhibit called "Entering Somerville" at the Nave Gallery from August 10-31. It's a pleasure to be included along with other 'Ville artists such as Audrey Ryan, Faces on Film, Quarterly and many more. Check out the Nave Gallery for more info.
If you missed the show with Pokey LaFarge, Jenn Harrington from the Nave Gallery posted a live video of a new song, called "Going to Bentonia."
I'm still working away on new recordings...more news on that soon.
Thanks, as always, for reading and listening.

MIDDLE EAST DOWNSTAIRS this week -
I was just added to a bill at the Middle East downstairs this Thursday. It is a benefit for the One Fund. I will be performing with my trio for the first time in about nine months. I hope you can come listen and support this important cause. I will also be playing bass with Faces on Film. This is going to be a fun night.
I had a lot of fun playing in Providence last week at the Local 121 Speakeasy. Many thanks to Allysen Callery, Bryan Minto and the Sugar Honey Iced Tea for a great night.
This Wednesday in Cambridge, the guitar-drum duo returns to the Plough and Stars, with Quarterly's Chris DiPietro adding lap steel. No cover, 10:30pm. Come on out!
3.23 Citywide Blackout on Unregularradio.com's "Uncensored" channel. I will be playing live and answering questions at 6pm. Call in and ask anything at 617-606-3700 or post quetions online at twitter.com/citywidemax and facebook.com/citywideblackout.
3.28 The Stomping Ground, Putnam CT. Returning to one of the coolest and most comfortable venues in Connecticut. Playing solo at 8pm.
3.30 Tavern at the End of the World, Charlestown, MA. Playing on my home turf with two very talented out of towners - Allysen Callery and Ora Cogan. This will be a beautiful night. Get there by 9pm to snag a seat by the fireplace.
